It is now accepted that COVID-19 has brought into sharp focus the fact that for survival, entrepreneurs must be able to adapt in a situation of uncertainty. And that in order to do this, they must innovate, not only in the current environment, but on an ongoing basis, regardless of the type of business. The challenge is how to do this successfully. Within the last few years, the design thinking method and the “lean” approach to developing business models are being increasingly used as tools by startups and established companies to become “agile” and successfully introduce new products and services to the market. This presentation will describe these methods, with their emphasis on the client and on constant improvement, and show participants how these tools are relevant in the current environment. This webinar will be taught by Winsome Leslie, Ph.D., an expert in international development, entrepreneurship and innovation, who is currently President and CEO of DevSolutions Consulting. The firm provides advisory and consulting services in micro and small business development to organizations, as well as entrepreneurs in the U.S. and emerging markets.
